Mother's Touch Paint

I was shocked today at Target when I saw a ZERO-VOC paint today called "Mother's Touch". Yay for Target!!!!! (this was a super Target - if you dont have one, Im sincerely so sorry, you are missing out. I love that place!)

They come in premade colors, beige, light pink, baby blue, etc.

It was $19.99/gallon which is HALF of what the zero-VOC paint I buy from Sherman Williams costs (although I always get a discount, this is still a much better deal). I will definitely be looking into this when we move into our new house!!!!!!

You may remember from my previous post on Green Paint that traditional paint contains many toxic chemcials and those toxins can leach into your air for YEARS....... YEARS! I really think that this is one thing to put extra money in for the sake of you and especially your children! I was so happy to see a more affordable option!

This may be a stupid question but here it goes...does the old paint under the zero-voc paint still leach through?

Ive wondered that and I dont know the answer. It seems to me that it would NOT leach through if its a good, solid coat of paint???

This is awesome! I don't have any rooms to paint at the moment, but I'll definitely remember this when I do. :) :) :)

Hey there! I found the Mother's Touch paint when my wife said she wanted to match the nursery color with the green from the crib bedding she had picked out (ABC and Me). My wife is on 100% bed rest and we just bought a new house - so I am doing all the painting. I am doing the nursery as a suprise. She has no idea.

Anyway, I was ecstatic when I read your post about finding the paint at your local Super Target. I have two within 5 miles from me (in Roswell and Woodstock GA) but neither had the paint - or ANY paint for that matter.

In what part of the store did you find the paint? I saw the aisle with painting supplies, but no paint.

Thanks so much!

Kit - at mine it is in the home improvement section. things nearby include doorknobs, locks, tools, etc. It was near the back of the store by the sporting goods. I hope you can find it there! Ive seen it in Ca and TX so Im assuming they'd have it in GA too??? I just used the zero-voc from Home Depot and its very good but it too has limited colors. but if you have HD you could check there too :) Its $36/gallon which is competitive.

Bought this paint. This paint does not cover as well as other no-voc paints. since is tinted is non-returnable. Be sure to use the paint samples to make sure the color is exactly what you want. While I was happy that the company took the time to match the nursery bedding to their color pallettes, I was not pleased with the coverage at all after 2 coats.
Advertisement also states is cleanable. After 2 coats, does not look like it would hold up very well at all. we will see. not very impressed for the $ that was spent. Would try to find this paint at the price that the previous poster found of $19.99. More than that, you may be wasting your money!
